Who Needs Sleep??? By the Barenaked Ladies
Sleeping is the naturally recurring state of relatively suspended sensory and motor activity.
Sleeping is separated in to 2 categories, Non-Rapid Eye Movement (NREM), and Rapid Eye Movement (
). NREM is then further separated into 3 stages,
Sleeping is timed by the circadian clock, sleep-wake homeostasis, and sometimes in humans, the power of will. The circadian clock, controls inner timekeeping, temperature, and enzymes. It works with adenosine, a neurotransmitter that prevents lots of the bodily functions that you do during the day. Adenosine is being produced throughout the day, but higher levels make you sleepy.
I have created a survey on sleeping it would be greatly appreciated if you could fill it out. Click on the link below to follow it.
